Importance of Education

Education is the need of the hour today. It is very necessary in today’s economic condition to be educated well. Primary is not just compulsory but also the right of every citizen of the country. Therefore, it becomes the responsibility of the parents to educate their children. Education has a very formative effect on human mind and abilities. It is the process by which an individual acquires knowledge, skill and the values. This knowledge and values is transferred from generation to generation. Education transforms an individual into a complete human being. There is a right to education which has been recognized and the United Nations also guarantees this right to every citizen under its Article 13.

There are teachers in the educational institutions that provide education to the children. Students mostly learn subjects like mathematics, science, history and English. These subjects are taught at school level by which the students acquire basic knowledge of the subjects and their surroundings. After school, the students get into a college for higher education. The higher education not only provides knowledge to the children but also makes them mature and intelligent. One can also gather lots of informal knowledge from places like museums and library. Internet is also a very popular medium for an individual to acquire knowledge.

Primary education is a very basic education which one learns in school. In countries like Canada, Australia and United States of America the primary and secondary education both are together referred as K-12 education and this education develops an individual for a professional career or life. Higher education is regarded as tertiary education and it is non compulsory education. This is taken to get an undergraduate or a post graduate degree and also includes training and development of an individual to get into the corporate world.
